To ensure safe operation of the mitre saw you must follow these guidelines – • Select the correct blade for the material to be cut. • • The mitre saw can be safely carried by the main handle but only once it has been removed from the mains power and secured in the locked down position.

• Do not use the saw without the guards in position, in good working order and properly maintained. • • Ensure that there is adequate general or localised lighting. • Do not use the saw unless the guards are in place. • Do not use the saw to cut metal or masonry.
